Visit the Christ and the Sugar Loaf and get to know the centre of Rio de Janeiro with its sights and stories.

We will start the day with a visit to the Christ Redeemer and a fantastic view of Rio de Janeiro.

Coming down from the Corcovado we head to the historic centre to discover the antique Rio and to have lunch in one of the typical restaurants.

In the afternoon we will walk through the centre, see the Confeitaria Colombo and get to know Cinelandia Square with the Municipal Theatre. We will visit the Cathedral, walk the streets of Lapa, see the arches of Lapa, and the stairs of Chilenian tiles artist Selaron. We will walk up to Santa Teresa past the Carmelites' convent and visit the cultural centre Parque das Ruinas that offers a great view of the city centre.

From Santa Teresa, we will take a taxi to Praia Vermelha and take the cable car up to the Sugar Loaf, just in time to see the sun setting in the West of Rio de Janeiro and the lights of the city turn on. Please be aware that sun sets only at 20.00 in high summer, so the start time of the tour will vary accordingly.
